Academics



Barnes School & Junior College, established in 1925 under the Bombay Education Society, is one of India’s most respected institutions of learning. With a proud heritage and a modern outlook, the school nurtures students to excel academically, ethically, and personally.

Grades 11 and 12 follow the ISC curriculum, while Grades 9 and 10 are under ICSE. For Grades 1 to 8, the CISCE curriculum is implemented.

 Students are assessed through Unit Test 1, Unit Test 2, Half-Yearly, and Final Examinations, along with co‑curricular participation in art, music, physical education, and community service, ensuring balanced, all‑round development.

Parent-teacher meetings take place on the Saturday in each month, fostering collaboration and closely supporting each child’s growth. We also organize a self-nominated Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) where parents and teachers meet to discuss their child’s progress.
