Boarding & Pastoral Care

At Barnes School and Junior College, our students’ care is entrusted to a team of seasoned wardens, matrons, and boarding incharges who commit wholeheartedly to providing support & care.

Our boarding program follows a structured five-day routine designed to instill discipline and balance in daily life.

On Saturdays and Sundays, students enjoy a thoughtfully planned schedule that blends recreation with enrichment.

We place a strong emphasis on the discipline and character development of our boarders. Our disciplined approach prepares students to face challenges with maturity and equips them with the life skills needed for success beyond.

We offer opportunities through partnerships with world-class academies, namely BBFS and Padukone Academy, which operate exclusively for boarding students.

BBFS (Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools): This academy is for aspiring footballers. There is professional training under certified coaches which helps develop their skill and hone their talents. We are proud to have had students who have represented different states, played at the national level and also have players who currently play for India.

Padukone Academy: The school has partnered with Padukone Academy to nurture the future stars of badminton who have also represented us at a high level.

We provide a carefully planned dining experience that fuels students for academic and personal growth. A wide range of options—including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and Jain meals—are prepared with sensitivity to individual dietary requirements and medical considerations.

Guided by the POCSO Act, 2012, our school operates a Child Welfare Committee to safeguard every student under the leadership of our Headmaster, Mr. Malcolm Bearder and Section Head - Senior School & Junior College, Mr. Deepak Rajput.

Screen time is carefully regulated to prioritize student well-being while ensuring family connections remain strong. Boarding students do not use smartphones; instead, they are permitted to use a basic mobile phone three times a week to call their parents.

It is a request to parents that, before seeking admission in boarding, they take steps to prepare their child for the routines and responsibilities of boarding life.
